trinaward1: (Howdy)
The last 2 weekends we've had big storms with smaller ones during the week. Last nite we had freezing rain so it's a skating rink today. My shoulder's been flaring up / hurting, so I havent been able to do much, either. I'm just ready for something GOOD to happen, you know?

slowly, but they are improving. My doctor finally figured out what was wrong w/my shoulder and I'm doing PT that's targeting the affected area. My shoulder still hurts some days, but not everyday. I'm back at work so that means paychecks coming in again, too so I can breathe a bit easier on the financial front as well.

I had a great holiday with my family, but am looking forward to better times in 2013! Between all the shoulder trouble that prevented me from doing things (like working) and the resulting financial troubles, plus all the illness my whole family experienced, 2012 can definitely take a hike!

I'm almost done my on-line course which I hope will lead to easier financial times and will be seeing an acupuncturist in the new year for treatment for my shoulder. Heres to 2013; things can only get better from here!!
trinaward1: (Christmas Ornament)
I've actually got all my gifts bought & the house decorated. We had a big snowstorm today & it looks like a greeting card outside. I'm just not really feeling any holiday spirit; dont know why..I'm not depressed, stressed or anything. I'm just feeling kind of BLAH.
trinaward1: (Pard)
Haven't posted in awhile. Things are going ok. Had a good Thanksgiving, but it felt like the day snuck up on me this year. Everywhere I turn now it's all about Christmas..radio,tv,and web. One local radio station's been playing Xmas carols for the last 2 weeks and the Charlie Brown holiday special has already been on tv.

Really, folks?! it's not even December yet!! I feel a Bah,Humbug coming on!!
trinaward1: (Snowflakes)
Seems like time's sped up lately. Felt like Thanksgiving came early this year; I had a great day w/ my family, but the holiday snuck up on me.

Now everything on the radio, tv and web is all Christmas all the time. One of my local radio stations has been playing Xmas carols for the past 2 weeks and the Charle Brown Chistmas special was on tv tonite. Really? It's not even December yet!!
trinaward1: (Fall Foliage)
Watched the debate last night; it didnt change my mind about who I'd vote for. I cant wait for Nov 2nd..the political ads are inescapable whether it's TV, radio, or web. I'm sick of it; I voted early & just want it to be done.

My shoulder's hurting a lot recently. Will have to go back to the doctor, but dont want another cortisone shot since they're not helping. Will have to look on web for another ortho in my area;maybe someone new will have some different treatment options.

My on-line web course is going well. 2 more tests & I'll be done; I'll just have the State Board exam to get thru then I can work in my new field. I've already started job hunting.

It's been a while since I've posted here. I was out of work for all of August due to shoulder trouble / pain. There was quite a bit of financial trouble, too.

I had PT and it's helped a lot; I'm back to work and everything's slowly improving in my life. My birthday is Sat and I'm thankful I had family to help me thru all the trouble.
trinaward1: (Fall Harvest)
The 1st day of Fall is coming and it's on Saturday( my birthday) this year. It's my favorite season; I love the colors, the smells, and all the beautiful scenery!!

I'm also happy because my shoulder is doing pretty well right now. I finished PT and am back at work. Everything in my life seems to be improving which feels wonderful after struggling with my health for so long.
trinaward1: (beautiful garden)
Went to the ortho & am now doing PT again. Supposed to end Sept 1st. It seems to be helping somewhat along w/ the not working for a month (doctor's orders). I've been doing a lot of studying & only have about 7 exams left before my class is done. Been doing some fun fanfic reading, too.

Pain...

Lots of shoulder pain since my last post. Going to the ortho Aug 1st & then on Aug 2nd for my acupuncture appointment. Hope to God one of them helps.

Yeah, the extreme heat / humidity has been back for about a week & a half. Tomorrow its supposed to cool down again. I sure hope so..it's been miserable trying to sleep or do anything really.
trinaward1: (Sunset paradise)
Yeah, the extreme heat / humidity is back again. It certainly hasnt helped my shoulder..for the past 2 days I couldnt move the shoulder / arm at all. It had been doing better in June..maybe a bit of pain here & there, but nothing like Fri & Sat. I'm feeling somewhat better today or I wouldnt be posting.

I've got an appointment w/ an acupuncturist the 2nd of August; I hope it helps. It'd be nice if something did.
trinaward1: (rainy day)
A few days after my last post, the heatwave finally broke & the humidity went way down. We had a couple of sunny days and it was just a pleasure to be outside, you know? Then the rain moved in - not just regular showers, but thunderstorms & flash floods. It'd last for a few days then we'd get a day where the rain would almost stop or the sun might peek out & then BAM!, right back to the storms.

I've been lucky because the flooding missed my place. There've been some downed trees and some submerged cars a few miles away from me,though. I'm just wondering where all this is coming from. I'm not that old, but I dont remember any storms like this when I was growing up.

It was 95 here today! We actually broke a state record; the last time it was this hot was 1944! I'm keeping cool any way I can but there's at least 3 more days of this sauna coming. I'm glad summer's here, but somebody turn down the heat, already!!

Dropping by to get caught up. My on-line course is going well & I'm really enjoying it!

I've had a lot shoulder pain this month & so far all the doctors I've gone to can't figure out what's causing it. I've lost count of the tests I've had w/ various doctors & have gone into debt chasing answers w/ no luck. Thinking of trying acupuncture sometime in June; several of my relatives have gone through it for various conditions and it seems to have helped them.
trinaward1: (Utah Desert)
Havent been on LJ much lately. My shoulder pain was a lot more of a constant thing in April, but it's starting to slack off a bit again. I'm also taking an on-line pharmacist course; I'm really enjoying it so far,but there's lots of reading to do which doesnt leave much time for other things.
trinaward1: (Lilac candle)
Havent really been on LJ much because the cortisone shot I got for my shoulder only helped until March 9th then the pain definitely returned for the rest of the month. The pain finally got bearable (or went away briefly some days) as March ended. I then got hit w/ a hellacious flu-type illness for a bit.

I'm finally feeling better and checking to see what I missed.
